In 1945, a group of dedicated people began meeting underneath a tree for worship and Sunday school in the yard of Mr. and Mrs. James Burchfield.  That group would go on to charter Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church.  In the years since, CHPC has carried out a variety of different ministries.  Holston Habitat for Humanity, Hope Haven, and Hope House are just a few of the missions served by the church.
